The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our expanding team. This role offers the chance to shape the learning environment and contribute to the development of young learners. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, child-centred lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional development of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share innovative ideas.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure individual needs are met.
- Work with parents and carers to support student learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
- Support the development of the KS1 continuous provision environment.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in early primary education.
- Strong understanding of child development and pedagogy.
- Commitment to reflective and ongoing professional practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a school that follows a continuous provision model.
- Experience with cross-phase collaboration in an all-through school setting.
- Background in outdoor education or experiential learning.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and use of technology in the classroom.
