The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the learning experiences of students across two secondary schools, while contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across key stages 3 to 5, including Media and A Level.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Support the personal and academic development of students, in line with the school’s mission and values.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support learning.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Experience in teaching Media and A Level, or a willingness to develop these areas.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting.
- Experience with single-sex teaching environments.
- Familiarity with the UK curriculum and examination systems.
- Leadership experience or a desire to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
