The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our expanding team. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across key stages 3 to 5, including Media and A Level.
• Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
• Support the personal and academic development of students, in line with the school’s mission and values.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practices.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support learning.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
• Strong subject knowledge in English and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
• Experience in teaching Media and A Level, or a willingness to develop these areas.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting.
• Experience with single-sex teaching environments.
• Familiarity with the UK curriculum and examination systems.
• Leadership experience or a desire to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
