Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stage 3 and the Sixth Form.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with the department to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
  • Participate in all aspects of school life, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and academic success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and dynamic curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school procedures and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and student behaviour.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students from Key Stage 3 through to the Sixth Form.
  • Familiarity with OfSTED standards and best practices in education.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on Wellbeing and Collaboration.
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Experience with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
