Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and the Sixth Form.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Work as part of a team to support the school’s mission and values.
  • Participate in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Prepare and assess student work in line with curriculum expectations and examination requirements.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Religious Studies and pedagogy.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department through collaboration and innovation.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Studies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in delivering lessons to a range of student abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies qualifications.
  • Familiarity with OfSTED standards and best practices in teaching.
  • Experience in a high-performing school environment.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
