As a Maths Department Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mathematics education at a school on a journey from good to great. This is an opportunity to lead a dynamic team and drive innovation and excellence in teaching and learning across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Maths department team to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Drive curriculum development and implement effective assessment strategies across the department.
  • Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive culture within the Maths faculty.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and support the vision and ethos of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong classroom experience with a proven track record in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire colleagues.
  • Commitment to the professional development of both staff and students.
  • Ability to strategically plan, monitor, and evaluate faculty performance.
  • Alignment with the values of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Background in leading a department within a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Experience in supporting student achievement and inclusion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
