Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that inspire and challenge Year 6 students.
• Plan and implement student-led learning experiences that promote critical thinking and creativity.
• Use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities that enrich student life.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the holistic development of all learners.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
• Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• BEd or PGCE qualification
• Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching practice
• Strong skills in planning engaging, student-led lessons
• Confidence in using classroom technology to enhance learning
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

Preferred

• Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
• Background in extra-curricular programme development
• Experience with the National Curriculum for England
• Familiarity with Google-certified teaching practices
