The Opportunity:

The Examinations Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the school’s examination and assessment processes. This position requires someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage public examination entries, including GCSE and equivalent, in line with JCQ and examination board regulations
  • Oversee all internal tests and assessments
  • Collaborate with the Data and Assistant Exams Officer to ensure smooth operations
  • Support other administrative areas as required
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant examination and assessment guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to exams
  • Coordinate with external examination bodies and internal staff
  • Prepare and manage examination timetables and logistics

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing examination and assessment processes
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in relevant software
  • Experience in a school or educational setting

Preferred

  • Familiarity with JCQ and examination board regulations
  • Experience with internal and external assessment systems
  • Previous leadership or team management experience
  • Knowledge of data management and reporting tools

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on Surrey Grade PS8
  • 36 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks
