The Opportunity:
As an Exams Officer, you will play a key role in managing the administration and conduct of internal and external examinations, particularly Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level. This position ensures smooth operations and compliance with examination board standards, making a significant impact on student achievement and academic integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of internal and external examinations.
- Administer Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level examination entries and registrations.
- Prepare and communicate examination timetables to students, staff, and parents.
- Recruit, train, and supervise invigilators for examination sessions.
- Ensure secure handling and storage of confidential examination materials.
- Oversee the conduct of examinations in line with examination board requirements.
- Coordinate the release and distribution of examination results.
- Process post-results services, including re-marks and appeals.
- Maintain accurate records of examination data and student information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in examination administration, preferably within a British Curriculum school.
- Experience handling Cambridge IGCSE/IAL examinations.
Preferred
- Familiarity with examination board portals and systems.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems.
