The Opportunity:

As an EYFS Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in leading and raising achievement in early years education. You will collaborate with the Primary Senior Management team to drive innovation, support teaching and learning, and ensure outstanding outcomes for young learners. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the EYFS department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes
  • Support and coach teaching staff to improve pedagogical practice and student achievement
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the learning experience for young children
  • Work closely with the Primary Senior Management team to align EYFS with school-wide goals and standards
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring consistent improvement and attainment
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
  • Represent the EYFS department at staff meetings, parent events, and school-wide initiatives
  • Stay up to date with best practices in early years education and lead professional development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years education
  • Proven leadership and management experience in EYFS
  • Strong record of achieving outstanding results and raising student achievement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Preferred

  • Experience in a British or American curriculum setting
  • Leadership experience in a large, international school
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and innovative learning approaches
  • Experience with Islamic values and cultural integration in education
