The Opportunity:

The Facilities and Operations Manager will lead the management of a large, vibrant campus, ensuring that all buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission by providing a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance and operations of the school’s 35-acre campus.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Lead and manage an in-house staff team and coordinate external contractors.
  • Develop and implement long-term estates management strategies and projects.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational service across the campus.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and ensure quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, students, and contractors.
  • Support leadership in estates development and infrastructure improvement projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience managing a team and working with external contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing large-scale campus operations.
  • Background in educational or institutional settings.
  • Leadership experience in estates or operations development projects.
  • Familiarity with educational infrastructure and maintenance standards.
