The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified RE and Sociology Teacher to join our dedicated team and support students across KS3 to KS5. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-performing department and inspire students with innovative teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality RE and Sociology lessons across key stages 3 to 5.
  • Develop engaging and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A Level examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in RE and Sociology.
  • Ability to teach across KS3 to KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in RE and Sociology.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the school’s values and ethos.
  • Experience with continuous professional development.
  • Experience in working with diverse student groups.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
