The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified RE and Sociology Teacher to join our dedicated team and support students across KS3 to KS5. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-performing department and inspire students with innovative teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality RE and Sociology lessons across key stages 3 to 5.
- Develop engaging and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE and A Level examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Promote the school’s values and ethos in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in RE and Sociology.
- Ability to teach across KS3 to KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge in RE and Sociology.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Familiarity with the school’s values and ethos.
- Experience with continuous professional development.
- Experience in working with diverse student groups.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
