The Opportunity:

As the Head of Admissions, you will lead the school's pupil recruitment efforts and ensure that the admissions process reflects the school’s warm and values-led ethos. This role offers the chance to shape the future of a growing and evolving school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the admissions process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective families, as well as external partners.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos through all stages of the admissions journey.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a consistent and aligned approach to recruitment.
  • Monitor and report on admissions performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the school’s strategic development through effective recruitment and community engagement.
  • Ensure all communications and marketing materials reflect the school’s mission and values.
  • Train and supervise the admissions team to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior admissions role within an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A deep understanding of the admissions process and best practices.
  • Experience working in a school with a strong values-based culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in a co-educational or boarding school environment.
  • Knowledge of independent education and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience with school marketing and outreach initiatives.
  • Familiarity with educational inspection standards and reporting requirements.
