Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of engaging French lessons tailored to the needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and ensure alignment with the school’s ethos and the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and high standards of communication.
- Monitor and report on student progress using internal tracking systems and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Promote the school’s approach to inclusion, innovation, and well-being in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Work closely with mentors, therapists, and support staff to ensure the holistic development of students.
- Contribute to the co-curricular program and wider school community through active participation and collaboration.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in French and a clear understanding of teaching methods in a primary or EYFS setting.
- Experience in curriculum design and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
- Familiarity with digital technology and its effective use in the classroom.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching French as a second language.
- Background in inquiry-based or project-based learning approaches.
- Knowledge of the Citizens Tapestry and its six strands.
- Experience in working within a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
