Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and exam board specifications.
- Ensure teaching strategies meet the individual needs of all students through differentiation and group work.
- Create a supportive learning environment that reflects the school’s mission, vision, and values.
- Provide regular feedback and assess student work according to school and subject policies.
- Analyze assessment results to inform planning and support student progress.
- Organize subject-related trips and events to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain effective communication with parents through reports and consultations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the French department and across the school.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
- Support the organization of extra-curricular activities and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French at primary and secondary levels.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and international education standards.
- Strong understanding of assessment for learning (AfL) practices.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.
Preferred
- Experience with Cambridge Assessment International Education or French curriculum delivery.
- Background in teaching within an international school setting.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
