The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and exam board specifications.
  • Ensure teaching strategies meet the individual needs of all students through differentiation and group work.
  • Create a supportive learning environment that reflects the school’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide regular feedback and assess student work according to school and subject policies.
  • Analyze assessment results to inform planning and support student progress.
  • Organize subject-related trips and events to enhance learning experiences.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents through reports and consultations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the French department and across the school.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
  • Support the organization of extra-curricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French at primary and secondary levels.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and international education standards.
  • Strong understanding of assessment for learning (AfL) practices.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.

Preferred

  • Experience with Cambridge Assessment International Education or French curriculum delivery.
  • Background in teaching within an international school setting.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • Proficiency in French and English.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
