The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Physics Teacher to join our expanding Upper School. This role will involve teaching A Level and IGCSE Physics, as well as Key Stage 3 Science. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, engaging science curriculum to students across the secondary age range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Physics to students across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Level.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver the shared Key Stage 3 Science curriculum.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students in line with IGCSE and A Level requirements.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and curriculum changes.
  • Mentor and support students in their academic and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
  • A recognised teaching qualification: BEd; PGCE; iPGCE or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching Physics across the secondary age range
  • Experience teaching A Level and IGCSE Physics
  • Strong knowledge of the UK-based curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Fluent English speaker

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international school environment
  • Experience teaching learners with English as an Additional Language
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabus
  • Previous experience in a multicultural educational setting
