We are seeking a Geography and Travel & Tourism Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive school community. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography and Travel & Tourism lessons that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with curriculum standards.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and personal growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the curriculum.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special educational needs and those for whom English is an additional language.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography and Travel & Tourism.
- Experience in teaching at the secondary level (11-16).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take responsibility for student progress.
Preferred
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with English as an additional language.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and support for students with special educational needs.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
