The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Geography Teacher to join our committed team for a 1-year fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
• Plan and lead school trips and visits that enhance Geography learning and provide real-world context.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum improvements.
• Support the school’s commitment to student achievement through regular assessment and feedback.
• Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular Geography activities.
• Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress.
• Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Honours degree or equivalent in a Geography-related subject (2:2 or above).
• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Proven ability to teach Geography up to GCSE standard.
• Full working knowledge of the National Curriculum for Geography.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to student achievement and high academic standards.
• Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

• Experience in delivering Geography at Key Stage 5.
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
• Experience in leading or supporting extra-curricular Geography activities.
• Experience in working with diverse student groups.
• Experience in using technology to enhance Geography teaching.
