Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Food and Nutrition for GCSE and BTEC qualifications.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure consistent improvement and attainment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the department’s vision and enhance the curriculum.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, trips, and events that enrich the student experience.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Work closely with a specialist technician and department lead to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Food and Nutrition.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver GCSE and BTEC courses.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience working in a school environment.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in a multicultural setting.
- Previous experience in leading or supporting extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary from £36,400 to £53,040 per annum FTE.
