Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that foster student interest and understanding.
  • Apply innovative teaching methodologies to promote critical thinking and real-world learning.
  • Provide personalized feedback and assessment to support student progress and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Organize and support field trips that enhance Geography fieldwork and experiential learning.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities to enrich student life and engagement.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student attainment, behavior, and well-being.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of effective classroom management and pedagogical practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fully qualified teacher with experience in teaching Geography at the Secondary School level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography, with experience in GCSE, IBDP, or A-Level curricula.
  • Excellent understanding of personalized feedback and assessment strategies.
  • Proven ability to deliver high standards of teaching and learning in a supportive classroom environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student well-being, attainment, and behavior.
  • Experience in collaborative teaching and cross-departmental engagement.
  • Willingness to organize and support Geography field trips and related activities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within an international or IB environment.
  • Background in extra-curricular leadership or involvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with digital tools and innovative teaching technologies.
