The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join a thriving department and make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal development of students aged 13–18. This role offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative and innovative teaching environment, while shaping the future of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE, A Level and IB Mathematics to students aged 13–18.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to plan engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support pupils in reaching their full potential through high-quality teaching and pastoral care.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school, including academic extension, sports, and cultural activities.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Engage in the pastoral system, supporting students within a boarding or day house.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and best practice in Mathematics education.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across the age and ability range.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student support.
  • Experience in a school environment with a focus on pastoral care and co-curricular engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE, A Level or IB Mathematics.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles.
  • Experience with professional development and collaborative teaching.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
