Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons that align with curriculum standards and promote student achievement.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Geography department.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that support student development and engagement.
  • Stay up to date with current developments in Geography education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Support students in their academic and personal growth through pastoral care and guidance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography and the ability to deliver it with enthusiasm and clarity.
  • Experience working with students aged 11–18, ideally in a secondary school setting.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a Geography department.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support initiatives.
  • A passion for extracurricular activities and community engagement.
