The Opportunity:

We are seeking passionate, graduate-level Unqualified Teachers to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while gaining valuable teaching experience in a variety of settings. The position includes access to a comprehensive professional development programme and the opportunity to teach in a range of environments, including school sites, the community, and students’ homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects, supported by specialist staff.
  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as those with autism or other learning difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of the school’s curriculum, including outdoor and Duke of Edinburgh programmes.
  • Undertake safeguarding training and adhere to the school’s commitment to student welfare and safety.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to enhance teaching and support skills.
  • Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their personal and academic growth.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting resilience, autonomy, and achievement in all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate-level qualification.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs, autism, or other learning difficulties.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a range of teaching environments.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supporting students in a school or community setting.
  • Familiarity with alternative approaches to mainstream education.
  • Experience with the Duke of Edinburgh or outdoor learning programmes.
  • Previous involvement in safeguarding or child protection training.
