The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional educational needs across a range of categories, including EAL, cognition, and social, emotional, and mental health.
  • Provide in-class support and collaborate with class teachers on co-planning and resource creation.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions in literacy and numeracy.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning strategies to meet student needs.
  • Participate in whole-school training and professional development opportunities.
  • Work closely with external professionals such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture that values every student’s potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in supporting students with additional educational needs.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student welfare.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time, with potential for flexible hours.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting or teacher training programme.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Familiarity with EAL support or speech and language development.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
