The Opportunity:

A school seeks a passionate and experienced Business Studies Teacher to lead the department and deliver high-quality education across Key Stages 4 and 5. This role offers the opportunity to influence curriculum design, inspire students, and contribute to a dynamic and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and impactful lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring students achieve outstanding results.
  • Develop and implement a knowledge-rich curriculum that prepares students for GCSE, A Level, and Vocational courses.
  • Lead and mentor colleagues, modelling best practice and supporting the professional development of the department.
  • Implement inclusive teaching strategies and strong behaviour management to create a safe and challenging learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, using data to inform targeted intervention and support.
  • Engage and inspire students, fostering a love of learning and a passion for Business Studies.
  • Participate in department meetings focused on continuous improvement and the refinement of teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of innovation and professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent UK teaching experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver lessons of good to outstanding quality across a range of abilities.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies and a track record of raising attainment.
  • Experience in developing and leading a curriculum that supports student success.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practice and effective behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE, A Level, and Vocational qualifications in Business Studies.
  • Leadership experience within a teaching department or team.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching other teachers.
  • Background in professional development or teacher training.
  • Experience with innovative pedagogical approaches and curriculum design.
