Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Art department, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
  • Develop and implement creative, inclusive, and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support student progress through effective planning, preparation, and assessment.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
  • Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes that enrich student experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality Art lessons to diverse learners.
  • Strong classroom practice with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team.
  • Knowledge of international curricula such as A Levels, GCSEs, or BTECs.
  • Experience with co-curricular and extra-curricular programme development.
  • Willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives and events.
