The Opportunity:

As the Head of Physical Education, you will lead and inspire a comprehensive PE program that supports student well-being and academic success. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the delivery of the Physical Education curriculum to ensure alignment with school standards and student needs.
• Develop and implement engaging, inclusive, and innovative PE programs that cater to a diverse student population.
• Manage and mentor a team of PE teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent quality across all levels.
• Coordinate and lead co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, including sports events, competitions, and fitness initiatives.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students achieve their goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate physical education with broader school initiatives and values.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, codes of conduct, and health and safety regulations in all PE-related activities.
• Promote a culture of inclusivity, cultural awareness, and student well-being through active leadership and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in leading a Physical Education department in an international school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and its application in physical education.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality PE programs for students of all abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.

Preferred

• Experience with coaching or leading sports teams or extra-curricular activities.
• Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in modern PE instruction.
• Background in working with diverse student populations, including ESL and special needs students.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
