The Opportunity:

As the Head of Boarding, you will lead a vibrant and international community, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and development. This role is central to shaping a supportive and enriching environment where students grow in confidence, independence, and character.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational leadership and day-to-day management of the Boarding House
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, and compliance
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and aspirational boarding environment
  • Lead and develop boarding staff, tutors, and prefect teams
  • Work closely with academic colleagues to support pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Oversee a dynamic co-curricular and weekly activities programme
  • Promote the boarding experience through engagement with families and open events
  • Ensure exemplary standards of organisation and care within the Boarding House

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in boarding or senior pastoral leadership
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to build trust with pupils and maintain high expectations
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confidence working with international families and guardians
  • First Aid certification

Preferred

  • Experience with international students and families
  • Sound judgement, emotional intelligence, and calm authority
  • Passion for the holistic development of young people
