The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Primary Learning Support Assistant, supporting students in KS1 and KS2 with a focus on reflective and ongoing practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a school expanding its primary phase and developing new classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality learning experiences to students in KS1 and KS2
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and compassion
  • Work closely with students to provide individualised support based on their developmental needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share innovative ideas
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous provision environments in KS1
  • Support the smooth running of the school, including administrative and organisational tasks
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing training
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in learning support, ideally within KS1 and KS2
  • A commitment to reflective and ongoing professional practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in supporting children with diverse learning needs

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on early years education
  • Familiarity with continuous provision and play-based learning approaches
  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive education practices
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
