The Opportunity:

As Head of Faculty, you will lead a dynamic team across IT, Business Studies, Computer Science and Entrepreneurship, shaping a progressive curriculum and driving academic innovation from Year 4 to Year 13.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a clear academic vision aligned with school priorities and Sherborne group standards.
• Oversee curriculum design and assessment strategies for IT, Business Studies, Computer Science and Entrepreneurship.
• Monitor and improve teaching quality through lesson observations, feedback, and professional development.
• Use data and standardised assessments to inform academic decision-making and target setting.
• Lead staff development, mentor Early Career Teachers, and support faculty leadership growth.
• Coordinate enrichment activities such as coding competitions, enterprise projects and innovation challenges.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and academic policies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to report on student outcomes and academic performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Degree in IT, Business Studies or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience in one of these disciplines.
• Experience with Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge International (IGCSE and AS/A Level).
• Experience leading or coordinating staff.
• Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum, Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and Post-16 pathways.

Preferred

• Experience teaching BML, EAL or SEN learners.
• Experience in overseas schools.
• Passion for digital innovation and inquiry-based learning.
• Confidence in data analysis and academic systems thinking.
