The Opportunity:

As the Head of Islamic Studies, you will lead the Islamic department and ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum that supports student progress and achievement. This role is ideal for an experienced and inspirational leader who is passionate about making a difference in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the Islamic department to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Monitor student progress and attainment in line with school objectives and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to assess the impact of school action plans.
  • Support teachers in delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
  • Work with department members to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and mission.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, reflection, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote Islamic values and principles within the school community.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student achievement and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or license and experience leading an Islamic department.
  • Minimum two years of senior or middle leadership experience in a similar setting.
  • Experience teaching and leading in an American curriculum school environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Islamic studies and its integration into the curriculum.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on Islamic education.
  • Background in international education or cross-cultural environments.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
