The Opportunity:

As the Head of Key Stage 3, you will lead and inspire a team of educators, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality British curriculum to students aged 11-14. This role is ideal for a passionate and experienced leader who is committed to fostering student achievement and professional development within a supportive and innovative school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Key Stage 3 department, ensuring effective curriculum planning and delivery
  • Monitor and support student progress through data analysis and targeted teaching strategies
  • Provide professional development and mentorship to teaching staff
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school
  • Ensure alignment with UK curriculum standards and assessment requirements
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners
  • Implement innovative teaching methods and educational technologies to enhance student engagement
  • Work closely with senior leadership to maintain and improve educational standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience within the UK curriculum at the secondary level in a British school outside of Egypt
  • Strong knowledge of Key Stage 3 curricula and assessment frameworks
  • Proven leadership experience in managing or coordinating a teaching team
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze student data and use it to inform teaching strategies

Preferred

  • Experience with educational technology tools for learning enhancement
  • Background in inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
  • Familiarity with Cambridge and Edexcel Examination Boards
  • Experience in curriculum development and staff training
