The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dynamic and visionary Music Teacher and Head of Performing Arts to lead and inspire students across all educational levels. This role involves teaching music and managing the Performing Arts Department, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of performing arts education in an international setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the Performing Arts Department across primary and secondary levels
• Deliver high-quality music lessons and performance-based learning experiences
• Develop and implement performing arts programs aligned with the British curriculum
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate performing arts into the broader school curriculum
• Supervise and mentor teaching staff within the Performing Arts Department
• Organize and oversee school-wide performances, events, and extracurricular activities
• Ensure the use of modern technology and musical instruments in teaching and performance
• Support student development in creativity, confidence, and teamwork through performing arts

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Performing Arts, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience within a UK curriculum setting
• Strong knowledge of music education and performance techniques
• Experience teaching students across primary and secondary educational stages
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficiency with musical instruments and technology used in music education

Preferred

• Experience leading or managing a department or team
• Familiarity with Academy Pathways and student enrichment programs
• Experience with Cambridge or Edexcel examination boards
• Knowledge of Arabic Language, Religion, and Social Studies curriculum requirements
