The Opportunity:

As the PE Teacher and Head of Athletics, you will lead the Health and Physical Education department and drive the school’s athletics program. This role is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about promoting fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in students of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality physical education lessons across all year groups
• Develop and implement an engaging and inclusive athletics program
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum
• Organize and manage extracurricular sports events and competitions
• Support student well-being through initiatives that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles
• Lead and mentor a team of PE teachers and coaches
• Ensure alignment with the UK National Curriculum for Physical Education
• Utilize technology to enhance lesson planning and student assessment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role within an international or UK curriculum setting
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Physical Education
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams or departments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of all ages
• Ability to organize and manage extracurricular sports events and competitions

Preferred

• Experience in a school environment with a focus on student enrichment and pathway programs
• Familiarity with using technology for lesson planning and student assessment
• Experience in developing and implementing school-wide sports programs
