Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all year groups and ability levels
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes at GCSE and Post-16
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the English curriculum
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning
  • Encourage student participation through extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to drive the department towards excellence
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development
  • Experience working with students across a range of abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities
