As the Curriculum Leader for Performing Arts, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative and artistic development of students. This is an opportunity to lead a dynamic department, inspire young people, and drive excellence in teaching and learning across the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality performing arts curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Lead and support a team of teachers to improve teaching standards and student outcomes.
  • Inspire and engage students through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate the performing arts into wider school life.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and interventions where needed.
  • Represent the department at staff meetings, curriculum reviews, and external events.
  • Stay up to date with current educational developments and best practices in the performing arts.
  • Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values through all aspects of teaching and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Performing Arts.
  • Proven track record of successful outcomes for students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

Preferred

  • Specialism in Music or another area of Performing Arts.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Passion for supporting student development and personal growth.
  • Experience with Catholic education or similar values-based environments.
