Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring engaging and challenging content.
- Plan and assess student progress using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Support students in developing their literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of ensuring that everyone matters, helps, and succeeds.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with the Everyone Matters Schools Trust ethos.
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
