Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring engaging and challenging content.
  • Plan and assess student progress using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
  • Support students in developing their literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of ensuring that everyone matters, helps, and succeeds.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with the Everyone Matters Schools Trust ethos.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
