The Opportunity:

As the Head of Maths, you will lead the mathematics department, delivering high-quality education from Year 7 to Year 13. This role is ideal for an inspiring educator with a proven track record in GCSE and A Level teaching, who is passionate about driving student achievement and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mathematics department, ensuring outstanding outcomes in GCSE and A Level examinations
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across all key stages, from KS3 to KS5
• Inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of abilities, promoting a love for mathematics
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support inclusive learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-achieving curriculum
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed
• Maintain strong communication with parents and stakeholders to support student success
• Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate best practices into teaching

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor of Education or PGCE with a specialism in mathematics
• Proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level mathematics
• Ability to teach across all key stages, from Year 7 to Year 13
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a UK or international school setting

Preferred

• Experience teaching Further Maths
• Leadership experience in a school setting
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation
• Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and IGCSE qualifications
