The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and visionary Head of PE Teacher to lead the PE & Games Department and inspire students across all year groups. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of physical education and contribute to the school's vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the PE & Games Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Deliver engaging PE lessons to pupils of all ages, both on and off-site.
• Develop and implement a diverse range of sports and activities for all year groups.
• Motivate and inspire students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive school culture.
• Organize and lead before/after school practices and fixtures.
• Supervise and support the PE team, providing leadership and guidance.
• Ensure the safe and effective use of school minibuses for transport to sports facilities.
• Promote the school’s values and ethos through active participation in the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant teaching or coaching qualifications.
• Proven leadership experience in a PE or Games department.
• Strong knowledge of sports and physical education for children up to age 11.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Experience in delivering high-quality PE lessons in a school setting.

Preferred

• Experience in leading before/after school sports programs.
• Knowledge of local sports facilities and community links.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with curriculum development in PE.
