The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to implement school-wide strategies and policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, providing feedback and support to staff.
  • Oversee the management of a specific area of the school, ensuring high standards of practice and performance.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos, fostering a positive and inclusive culture for students and staff.
  • Support the professional development of teaching staff through mentoring, training, and coaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum and student progress.
  • Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school, supporting the Head Teacher in all aspects of school operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of educational policies, curriculum design, and teaching best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of staff and support the school’s strategic goals.
  • Experience in managing school operations and contributing to whole-school improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
  • Leadership qualifications or experience in senior leadership training programs.
  • Experience in school improvement and performance management.
  • Familiarity with the latest pedagogical approaches and technologies in education.
