The Opportunity:

As Head of School, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality education and ensuring the school meets the highest standards in teaching, behaviour, safeguarding, and inclusion. This role is pivotal in driving the school’s vision and translating Trust strategy into consistent, impactful practice across all areas of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school's overall performance, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement school policies aligned with the Trust's values and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee staff performance, professional development, and school leadership to maintain high standards of education.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Work closely with the Executive Headteacher to drive school improvement and continuous development.
  • Ensure effective communication with parents, the local community, and Trust leadership.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including attendance, behaviour, and academic achievement.
  • Support the provision of high-quality education for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably as a Head of School or Deputy Head.
  • Strong track record in school improvement and raising student achievement.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational policies, safeguarding, and inclusion practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to the values of the school and the Trust, including Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational structure.
  • Familiarity with the 'RIDER' values and a commitment to emotional intelligence in education.
  • Experience in leading staff development and fostering a positive school culture.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery at primary level.
