The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of School to lead a high-achieving primary school with a strong foundation and an outstanding Ofsted rating. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive network and to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and school development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff and students to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to further improve academic outcomes and student engagement.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community.
  • Work closely with the Executive Principal and Ark network to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and values-based school culture.
  • Ensure the effective management of school operations, including curriculum development and staff performance.
  • Support the ongoing professional development of teachers and school leaders.
  • Oversee the implementation of the school’s specialisms in Mathematics and Performing Arts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an Assistant or Vice Principal, or existing Headteacher with a track record of leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
  • Experience in managing school operations and leading teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-academy trust.

Preferred

  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and school improvement.
  • Background in Mathematics or Performing Arts education.
  • Experience in teacher training or professional development.
  • Familiarity with Ark’s educational philosophy and approach.
