Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Upper KS2, ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement engaging, inclusive, and stimulating lesson plans aligned with the primary curriculum
  • Support the school’s commitment to closing attainment gaps and raising standards across the school
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Take on additional responsibilities as a Subject Leader, including curriculum development and staff training
  • Reflect on teaching practice and participate in ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and community engagement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective assessment strategies
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and raise student attainment
  • Commitment to inclusion, equity, and student well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a diverse and inclusive setting

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or Subject Leader role
  • Familiarity with teaching English as an additional language
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Strong understanding of current educational policies and best practices
  • Demonstrable experience in professional development and mentoring
