As the Head of Science Teacher, you will lead and inspire students in Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies, playing a key role in shaping the curriculum and fostering a culture of inquiry and learning. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies across the senior school curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement concept-based units of inquiry aligned with IB standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students at all ability levels.
• Promote international-mindedness and service learning through meaningful, real-world connections.
• Support the development of a constructivist learning environment that fosters student autonomy and engagement.
• Maintain high standards of organization and contribute to the overall academic and community development of the school.
• Teach additional related subjects as required, based on departmental needs and personal expertise.
• Model and promote a positive, approachable, and collaborative school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience teaching Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies in the IB MYP and DP, with IGCSE experience being an asset.
• Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and curriculum framework.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a valid teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated international teaching experience.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience teaching additional related subjects such as Integrated Science, Foundation Biology, or Chemistry.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational research.
• Ability to inspire, challenge, and empower students through innovative and engaging teaching practices.
