Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school’s strategic direction, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Foster a positive school culture aligned with the school’s Christian values and ethos.
  • Develop and implement policies that support the well-being and academic progress of all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the local community to enhance the school’s impact.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and pupils to drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent the school at local and regional events, promoting its values and achievements.
  • Support the professional development of staff across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as a Headteacher.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Deep understanding of educational best practices and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Experience of working in a school with a Christian ethos and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a church school or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of school improvement strategies and Ofsted standards.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience in managing large teams and budgets.
