The Opportunity:

As a History Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a rigorous and engaging curriculum from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. You will inspire students to achieve their full potential and contribute to a school that values creativity, innovation, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Level with a focus on student engagement and achievement.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
  • Foster a classroom culture that encourages ambition, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting Vietnamese language and culture alongside international education.
  • Engage with students, parents, and the wider school community to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s strategic goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status and a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and experience with IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
  • Ability to teach non-native English speaking students and support their academic progress.
  • Full QTS status and compliance with visa requirements for Vietnam.

Preferred

  • Experience with bilingual education or teaching in a dual-language environment.
  • Familiarity with the International Early Years and International Primary Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a Middle Leadership Pastoral role.
