The Opportunity:

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of students by delivering engaging and innovative lessons aligned with the Ontario Curriculum. You will contribute to a school that values creativity, critical thinking, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with established curriculum models and student needs.
  • Adapt and reassess lessons to ensure compliance with guidelines and to incorporate new developments in education.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and well-being.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure consistency in student support and progress.
  • Manage diverse ability levels and maintain discipline while promoting student engagement and achievement.
  • Attend professional development seminars and school meetings to stay current with curriculum and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support student learning and development across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native speaker with a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Minimum of 3 years of international teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
  • Clean criminal record.
