Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History to students in a small-class setting, focusing on meaningful understanding and engagement.

  • Support students in the afternoon program, which includes arts, sports, and practical work, contributing to a well-rounded education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • University degree in History
  • Ability to teach a second subject, ideally Geography or German
  • Experience teaching at the secondary level (grades 7–13)
  • Strong communication skills in German, with fluency in English as an advantage
  • Passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being

Preferred

  • Experience with reform pedagogy, Ruth Cohn’s Themenzentrierte Interaktion, or Martin Wagenscheins Didaktik des exemplarischen, entdeckenden Lernens
  • Familiarity with international curricula, such as the American High School Diploma or Swiss secondary programs
  • Experience in a boarding school or international educational setting
