Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative French lessons to Secondary students, focusing on IGCSE and A-level curriculum.
- Develop and implement effective schemes of learning that reflect curriculum changes and pedagogical best practices.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages high expectations, student motivation, and academic achievement.
- Use technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s vision and mission.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
- Communicate regularly with parents and students to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning in line with Teachers’ Standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- A certified teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching French in a Secondary setting, preferably within the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
- Strong understanding of pedagogy and effective teaching practices.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in writing schemes of learning and adapting to curriculum changes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching IGCSE and A-level French.
- Experience working in an international school setting.
- A B or C permit to work and live in Switzerland.
