The Opportunity:

As Lehrer Sek I (Berufskunde, Deutsch, Französisch) m/w/d, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of students in grades 7 to 9. You will contribute to a dynamic, student-centered learning environment that values individualized instruction and creative engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core subjects such as German, French, Geography, and Information Technology to students in grades 7 to 9.
  • Support students in career orientation and Berufskunde, helping them explore future paths and develop practical skills.
  • Deliver engaging lessons in small learning groups, ensuring personalized attention and meaningful learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s afternoon program by offering courses in arts, sports, and practical skills.
  • Collaborate with other educators and contribute to a supportive, interdisciplinary teaching team.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong command of German as a first language or fluent in writing and speaking.
  • Good knowledge of French, ideally with experience in teaching it.
  • Experience in teaching at the Sek I level (grades 7 to 9).
  • Interest in Berufskunde and career orientation, with willingness to develop expertise in this area.
  • Ability to work in small groups and provide individualized support to students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Geography, Natural and Technical Sciences, or Information Technology.
  • Familiarity with reform pedagogy, Ruth Cohn’s Themenzentrierte Interaktion, and Martin Wagenschein’s didactic approaches.
  • Passion for working with young people and a commitment to holistic education.
