The Opportunity:

As a Homeroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction that supports student learning and development. You will create engaging learning experiences and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop the annual curriculum in line with the school’s educational standards.
  • Create and present lesson plans to academic coordinators for approval, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest teaching technologies and integrate them effectively into classroom instruction.
  • Design challenging and engaging learning opportunities that support student achievement and interest.
  • Develop worksheets, handouts, and assessments aligned with the curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Mark and correct student assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress to ensure continuous development.
  • Identify students in need of additional support and coordinate appropriate academic or non-academic assistance.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, including assemblies, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during school hours.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to share innovative teaching strategies and professional knowledge.
  • Communicate regularly with parents during parent-teacher meetings and as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching qualification and experience in a school setting.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to student safety and well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience with the British National Curriculum.
  • Familiarity with technology-enhanced teaching methods.
  • Experience in developing and assessing student work.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities and school events.
